Map Editing Objects

While tiles can be placed only on the grid, objects, monsters and NPC can freely be placed where you want, even between two tiles. This allows lot more flexibility of the look of your maps. It is also possible to have multiple objects on the same and single position.

To avoid to place thousand of objects by mistake you must click for each objects you want to place. Right clicking on a map object you can remove it.

Note however that while placing any tiles on the map will never impact the performances of the engine, the more objects you place the slower the engine will run. But don't worry you will be able to add quite many objects before starting to feel any performance drop.
Objects are placed with their center point exactly where you place the mouse.

It is also important to know that the screen Y (vertical) position will determine the order of display, and therefore define which object / actor will appear above the other.
